Overnight Warming Center

Starting January 4 and continuing until the overnight temperatures are consistently above freezing, we will be opening our doors each night to serve as an overnight warming center from 8:00 pm to 7:00 am. (Want to help? Let us know!)

Check-in is from 8:00 to 9:00 pm. Late arrivals will be allowed only if accompanied or called ahead by emergency services or a trusted third party.

Anyone who needs to escape from the cold is welcome as long as they follow some simple rules, including:

  • No alcohol, illegal drugs, or weapons allowed.
  • Don’t cause problems with volunteers or other guests.
  • Don’t make a mess.
  • No smoking in the building.
  • No re-entry allowed after 10:00. Doors will be locked.

This is not a substitute for the good work being done by other shelters, churches, and non-profits in our area. We are simply providing warmth for those who need it and may have slipped through the cracks.

We need volunteers who are willing to stay awake and supervise. You can serve the whole night or a portion of it. If you would like to help, please click here to let us know.
